| The World Federation of Development Finance Institutions (WFDFI) will hold a one-day Senior Policy Seminar for Chief Executives of Development Banks in Prague, Czech Republic, during the week of the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank on Wednesday, September 27, 2000. |
This is a continuation of the seminars which the World Bank's Economic Development Institute has been conducting from 1986 to 1993 and the World Federation of Development Finance Institutions (WFDFI) from 1994 to 1999. The seminar is also a forum for chief executives to meet their colleagues from development banks in other countries.
The seminar will be held in collaboration with Patria Finance, Prague. It will open at 8:30 a.m. with registration and coffee. There will be a luncheon with a keynote speaker at 1:00 p.m. and the seminar will close at 5:00 p.m.
Participation is by invitation only and it personal for chief executives. It is not transferable to other bank staff, except members of the board of directors. The seminar will be conducted in English. There is no interpretation into other languages. Since this seminar is held during the annual meetings, one may be able to combine one's participation in the meetings with the attendance of the seminar. Attendance will be at one's institution's or one's own expense. The World Federation of Development Finance Institutions (WFDFI) is not able to pay for airfare, lodging or any other expenses for attending this seminar. For eligible participants, there is no charge for attending the seminar.
To facilitate the seminar preparations, please advise us as soon as possible whether you will be able to attend this seminar by obtaining the reservation form from WFDFI and submitting it by fax or e-mail no later than September 15, 2000.
